Connect EV3 to Simulink with WiFi, Bluetooth, USB.

UPDATE SIMULINK EV3 SOFTWARE.
Run this command in matlab: supportPackageInstaller;
Select ‘Support for’ LEGO MiNDSTORM EV3.
Update the following Simulink packages:
Interact with EV3 from MATLAB. Ver 14.2.1
Run models on LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3. Ver 14.2.4

INSTALL 1.06H FIRMWARE ON EV3 BRICK.
Version 1.09H is not compatible with Simulink.
Download 1.06H.bin from:

Use Lego Mindstorms software to install firmware. Click on ‘Tools’ + ‘Update Firmware’. You will need to copy the bin file from ‘downloads’ to the respective folder to make it appear in the list.

INSTALL WIFI Dongle
Buy Netgear N150 wifi dongle.

Turn on EV3 brick, insert USB dongle. Dongle will self install.
On Tools go to wifi and connect to your local wifi network.
If you are successful, your IP address will address will appear in the ‘Brick info’ tab on your brick.
You can ping your dongle from your pc by using ‘ping 192.168.0.8’ from the cmd command from dos. Change IP address to suit your address.

RUN SIMULINK MODEL TO EV3 BRICK
Download examples from:
http://au.mathworks.com/help/supportpkg/legomindstormsev3/examples.html
Go ‘Tools’ + ”Run on target hardware’ + ‘Options’ and enter your IP address and ‘OK’.
‘Deploy to hardware’ to download code to EV3 brick and run.

Bluetooth and USB connection not possible.
